Open at Turtle Bay
2005 marked the LPGA return to Hawaii for the first full-field event
of the official LPGA season--the SBS OPEN at Turtle Bay. Jennifer
Rosales won the inaugural $1 million event by two strokes over Cristie
Kerr and Hawaii's golf prodigy Michelle Wie.
 The
Turtle Bay Championship
The PGA CHAMPIONS TOUR makes its annual stop on the North Shore
of Oahu at the Turtle Bay Championship, on The Arnold Palmer Course
at the spectacular Turtle Bay Resort. The Turtle Bay Championship
is the first full field event of the PGA CHAMPIONS TOUR and offers
a $1.5 million purse.
Fields
Open in Hawaii
The Ladies Professional Golf Association announced Wednesday it
will add the Fields Open in Hawaii to the 2006 LPGA Tour schedule.
The 54-hole event will take place at the Ko Olina Golf Club on the
island of Oahu from February 23-25, 2006 and will offer $1.1 million
in prize money.
